WHY I QUIT LAST WAR GAME
This article is not meant to destroy the image of the game.
I only want to share my views and experience.
After all, I would not have lasted for months playing if the game is not good. Right?
I started playing the Last War game last year, October 2024 to be specific, and I just deleted it TODAY.
I felt so FREE after the deletion...
However, I cannot deny the fact that I'm a bit sad about leaving my alliance and my co-commanders
who have been with me for months just enjoying the game and I would never forget how we kept leveling up together, thereby increasing the power of our alliance.
For privacy, I will not name which alliance, warzone, or server I have been to.
Maybe you ask why.
Well, since I am going to share some info about the game and me as a commander, my former fellow commanders in the said server can easily guess who I am if they happen to read this article. 😄
So, moving on. I guess what brought you here is to answer these possible questions in your head;
"Is it time to quit the game?"
"What will happen if I delete my account?" or "How can I delete my last war account?"
These were my questions too.
My answer is, YES! It is BETTER to quit the game.
Disclaimer: this is my opinion and you are allowed not to follow or do what I said, especially if you still enjoy playing it. Okay? 😊
I have many REASONS why I QUIT THE GAME. I did not quit for just one reason. Just imagine how long I had stayed further before I finally quit it.
The following are MY PERSONAL views or reasons only, in ANY order...
So don't judge! 😂
1. UNFAIRNESS OF SYSTEM AND THE PLAYERS
By that I mean it is unfair when there is a higher level of headquarter (HQ) commander than you, assuming you are a beginner. It can easily defeat you via attacks and when you try to attack back, your troops are no match.
The higher the power a commander has, the easier he or she can defeat anyone who is below his or her level.
In my mind, "Why can't everyone have equal footing?" Then see who has the true skill or ability to win a virtual fight.
But sure, I cannot go against the system of the Last War; it is what it is. That's its identity.
Also, SOME players or commanders who are part of an alliance DO NOT CARE if they capture a village or town that is already owned by another alliance.
Some players do this because they want to set up a fight (for fun or because they are bored); they are war freaks, jealous, greedy, power trippers, and, worse, bullies.
2. HIGH-POWERED PLAYER OR ALLIANCE DOESN'T PROTECT THE WEAK.
Throughout my time in the server, I have seen how SOME stronger alliances and players attack weaker alliances for wrong reasons OR no reason at all. They target the smaller alliance.
I was part of a mid-level powered alliance, which means not too weak nor too strong since our alliance is in the Top 22 out of 50 in the ranking list of alliances based on power.
As we have reached recognition and have established our alliance's name,
from a nobody to somebody,
from 4 commanders to 90 commanders,
other stronger alliances/players targeted us just because we are making a difference.
Note, we are F2P or free-to-play players. My co-commanders and I did not spend a dime.
Yep! We were doing well.
Always winning the Alliance Duel, continuously gaining points, included in the top contributors in the ranking, and I always get the MVP title. (Sorry, I don't mean to brag!) 😬
A BIG disappointment is when the most powerful player in our warzone DID not do anything to protect, defend, or help us when we were targeted by stronger alliances.
I was expecting him to call out the violators or bullies in the server, take action and emphasize the rules.
Remember what Spiderman said, "With great power comes great responsibility."
Sooo, if you are in power, please use it appropriately.
3. NON-PARTICIPATION OF PLAYERS/COMMANDERS
My spirit in playing the game is noticeable because it translates to action and results.
This competitive spirit I had is no longer the same with my teammates in the alliance.
I thought maybe they were discouraged or disheartened about the incident where another alliance has captured our 4 villages without notice or permission from us...
and they even provoked us in the World Chart for them to see our reaction and send us to madness.
Later on in the next Alliance Duel, my teammates most especially our R5, started to show "no-care" attitude for a couple of days, I was disappointed in them and lost the will to win.
I gradually lose my interest in playing the game despite my keeping aim for high points.
You might ask, "Why not join a stronger alliance instead of staying in a weaker alliance?"
Well, it is my personal choice to stay with our group; my loyalty is sincere and cannot be bought.
For me, it is not just a game; it is a community. I interact with people. I was just being ME!
4. EMOTIONALLY and MENTALLY EXHAUSTING
This is not always the case, okay? 😊
Only if you allow the game or behaviors of players to affect you.
Usually you never get tired of playing the game or find it draining.
It only became emotionally and mentally exhausting for me when I had to confront the guilty, crazy players and bullies in the world chat.
Did I let them affect me? Nope. I still played Last War for more days after the incident.
For a peace-lover like me, I get really nervous and my heart rate goes up when I have to confront and call out their wrongdoing so they learn a lesson.
Reading their provocation in the World Chat to fight back and saying demeaning words to me made me more refuse to answer back.
Realizing that was a pointless provocation and these people are stupid, they are not worth my time.
I WILL NEVER go down to their level.
5. MY FAMILY AND BEST FRIEND TOLD ME TO QUIT THE GAME.
I came to a point where I couldn't stop talking about the game to my family and best friend.
how happy and energetic I am when I tell some events in the game, especially when I top events and become the R5 or leader of the alliance.
I was blinded and handcuffed by the game and...
so sacrificed plenty of my time, weakened my focus, and sabotaged my future.
Although I was aware that I got addicted playing, I still kept playing.
The eye-opener started when my sister warned me as she noticed my daily commitment to the game.
Guess what? I did not stop. As if I did not hear any.
Then one day, I met up with my best friend for a quick catch-up.
and there I shared stories about the game and lessons I learned from it.
Throughout our time together, she noticed that I always kept talking about it and I logged in from time to time.
She said with a serious tone, "Listen, THAT IS NOT IMPORTANT; your studies are more important."
Aaaannndd, BOOM! That caught me off guard.
My mind is talking to myself, saying, "Yeah, she's actually right!. She is the second person to tell me to stop playing."
I was speechless.
So the next day, I was determined to DELETE my Last War account and uninstall the app from my phone.
I AM NOW FREE. 😌😊🪽🪽
